Balloons Tower Defence 4 Walkthrough: 3rd Intermediate Track on Hard.

This walkthrough is for the third intermediate track on the hard setting on Bloon Tower Defence 4. Prepare yourself for a massive 75 waves of bloons. You have 100 lives and a starting cash amount of 650 to buy items. As you can see the map is shaped like a globe, and the only entry/exit point on the map is at the bottom.

To start, click on the top left hand of the screen to purchase ‘Frag bombs’ for free, this will not cost you anything and it will help you greatly.

The Walkthrough

In your game you will come across slight differences with your walkthrough, so you have to change some bits around for your game. For example, if you can afford to buy, or to upgrade a tower mid level then you should always do so, this is very helpful for rounds that are tough (which the majority of them are!) You will also need to be very vigilant as to strays passing through, to pick these off use a combination of road spikes and monkey glue. You may also find that you can or cannot build certain items on specific levels as shown below, however, use some initiative and build/upgrade the tower as soon as you can.

Rounds

Round 1

Start by building two dart monkeys as shown below, upgrade the top one to piercing darts

Round 2

Upgrade second money to piercing darts, set target priority to last

Round 3-7

Lay down monkey glue at the end when you have some stray balloons

Round 8

Buy a buccaneer and place in the dead centre so that it covers the main circle of the globe as shown below.

Round 9

Upgrade the buccaneer to grape shot and crow’s nest

Round 10

Upgrade to longer cannons

Round 15

Buy a banana farm and place in the bottom right hand corner

Round 17

Upgrade banana farm to more bananas

Round 18

Build cannon underneath your dart monkeys

Round 19

Upgrade cannon to bigger bombs

Round 20

Upgrade the cannon to longer range

Round 21

Upgrade the cannon to missile launcher

Round 24

Upgrade Banana farm to banana plantation

Round 27

Buy another banana farm and place directly above the previous one

Round 28

Upgrade new banana farm to more bananas

Round 29

Upgrade top banana farm to banana plantation

Round 30

Buy another buccaneer and place on the right of the first buccaneer.

Round 31

Upgrade second buccaneer all the way to longer cannons

Round 32

Buy third buccaneer and place to the left of the central one

Round 33

Upgrade the buccaneer on the left to longer cannons

Round 34

Build a cannon to the left in the gap

Round 35

Build an ice tower to the left of the new cannon and upgrade it permafrost
Upgrade the new cannon to bigger bombs

Round 36

Upgrade the cannon to missile launcher
Upgrade the ice tower to snap freeze

Round 37 – 39

Do this for the two remaining sections as below:

Round 40

Build another banana farm and upgrade to banana plantation in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Round 42

Upgrade all cannons to MOAB maulers, and set target as strong.
You will need to use some road spikes on this level to pick off strays.

Round 43

Upgrade any one of the banana farms to a republic

Round 44

Upgrade any one of the banana farms to a republic

Round 45

Upgrade the final one to a republic
Sell the two dart monkeys and replace with one cannon (set target to strong)

Round 46

Sell all Buccaneers
Buy Super monkey and place at the bottom point of the island
Buy Monkey Beacon and place in the centre of the island
Upgrade to wider influence

Round 47

Upgrade monkey to super range.
Before the level lay down monkey glue and road spikes this level is hard.

Round 48

Upgrade monkey beacon to jungle drums then to sonar beacon.
Buy a glue monkey place to the left of the super monkey and upgrade to glue soak

Round 49

Upgrade super monkey to laser vision

Round 50

Upgrade glue monkey to glue spatter

Round 51

Buy 3 banana farms and place in the bottom left of the screen
Upgrade all three to more bananas

Round 52

Upgrade two of the to a banana plantation

Round 53

Upgrade the final one to banana plantation
Buy cannon and place as shown:

Round 54

Upgrade new cannon to Moab Mauler
Buy another glue gunner and place to the left of the original glue gunner, upgrade to glue splatter.
Upgrade super monkey to plasma vision

Round 56

Buy two more cannons and place them to either side of the start
Upgrade them to MOAB maulers

Round 58 – 63

Upgrade all Banana plantations to republics.

Round 65

Buy a Super monkey and place on the right of the previous one
Upgrade the new super monkey to super range

Round 67

Upgrade new super monkey to laser vision

Round 69

Upgrade super monkey to plasma vision.

Round 70-75

Build as many super monkeys as possible and upgrade them all to plasma vision.

Your final setup should look something like this (on the island)

With this walkthrough you may lose lives, but you can follow this walkthrough and lose none, (depending on how good your BTD4 skills are). If you decide to continue after round 75 then continue to build and upgrade super monkeys, by doing this you may even get through to about round 100!
