Balloons Tower Defence 4 Walkthrough: Advanced Track on Hard

This walkthrough is for the advanced track on hard setting for the game Bloon Tower Defence 4. This game setting will bring you 75 waves of balloons, which many advanced bloons players believe is harder than the expert level available on btd4. You will also have 100 lives and 650 cash to start off the level.

As you will be able to see the map is shaped like a curvy road, the reason why the map is difficult is because the road is wide, therefore, getting a weapon that can do maximum damage is tough. There is only one entrance point (up the top) and one exit point (at the bottom).

Before proceeding to start this tack of balloons tower defence 4 make sure you go to the upgrades section in the top corner of the screen to get Frag Bombs, it is free and will help you out a lot, on any of the levels.

The Walkthrough

This walkthrough ensures you will not lose a life if done correctly, and will also take you much further than round 75, however, beware you will need to be on your guard as almost every level requires you to lay down road spikes. When laying down your road spikes ensure you only lay down as many as you need, if you lay down too many then money in

the first couple of rounds becomes scarce and you will not get terribly far. Monkey glue is also tremendously helpful on this level so you may need to lay this down, the best advice is to save your game after every round and this way if you have what you believe to be a poor round then you can restart the level.

You will come across some differences in your game, mostly due to the amount of glue and spikes you lay down; however, you must use your common sense, if you can afford to upgrade something previous to when it is mentioned then do so, but you always need to leave enough money for monkey glue and road spikes.

The Rounds

Round 1

Buy a tack shooter and place as shown:
Use pineapple to get any strays

Round 2

Use the road spikes to get any strays

Round 3

Get a tack shooter and place in the bottom gap as below:

Round 4-5

Use monkey glue at the second tack shooter to stop any strays

Round 6

Buy another tack shooter and place as shown:

Round 11

Buy a banana farm and place in the bottom left hand corner of the screen

Round 14

Upgrade banana farm to more bananas

Round 15

Buy a tack shooter and place as shown:

Round 19

Upgrade banana farm to banana plantation

Round 20

Buy a glue gunner and place as shown:
Set target to strong

Round 21

Buy a glue gunner and place as shown:
Set target as strong

Round 21

Upgrade the first glue gunner to glue soak

Round 23

Upgrade the other glue gunner to glue soak

Round 24

Camo round, pick off the balloon with road spikes
Upgrade the first glue gunner to corrosive glue

Round 25

Upgrade the other glue gunner to corrossive glue

Round 26

Buy another banana farm and place above the previous one:

Round 28

Upgrade the new banana farm to more bananas
Get any steel balloons that get through the glue gunners with a pineapple bomb

Round 30

Upgrade the new banana farm to plantation
Buy a glue gunner and place above the other ones as shown:

Round 31

Upgrade the new glue gunner to corrosive glue

Round 33

Buy an aeroplane and place as shown:
Upgrade the aeroplane to spy express
Even though this may seem pointless it is there to get the camo balloons, you will waste more money using road spikes

Round 34

Sell the aeroplane and upgrade either one of the banana plantations to republics

Round 35

Buy forth glue gunner and upgrade it to corrosive glue, place as shown:
Set all the glue gunners target priorities to strong

Round 37

Upgrade the other banana farm to a plantation

Round 38

Upgrade your first tack shooter to blade shooter

Round 39

Upgrade that blade shooter to ring of fire
Upgrade the tack shooter nearest to the ring of fire to a blade shooter
Make sure you set a lot of monkey glue a round the ring of fire and blade shooter

Round 40

Upgrade the blade shooter to ring of fire
Ensure you get the brown balloons with road spikes before they reach the two rings of fire

Round 42

Round 42 brings a change up your layout should look as follows:

Sell your two remaining tack shooter, and the two top glue gunners
Buy two more tack shooters and place either side of the rings of fire
Upgrade both tack shooters to rings of fire

Round 43

Buy an ice tower, place in behind the centre of the four rings of fire
Upgrade the ice tower to snap freeze
Ensure you place a lot of monkey glue a round your four rings of fire

Round 45

Upgrade the ice tower to arctic wind

Round 46

Another change a Round as this is the introduction of the MOAB’s
Your layout should now look like this:

Sell one of your rings of fire, and all of your glue gunners
Buy three cannons and place as above
Upgrade them all to MOAB maulers and set priority as strong

Round 47

Ensure you lay down monkey glue a round the rings of fire

Round 48

Camo balloon Round all you need is one spike at the beginning of the track and that will be enough

Round 49

Mid Round – Upgrade one of the republics to a plantation

Round 50

For round 50 of btd4 buy a tack shooter and place to the right of the rings of fire
Upgrade it to ring of fire
Buy a cannon and place to the top left of the other cannons
Upgrade it to MOAB mauler

Round 51

Buy another tack shooter and place to the right of the other ones
Upgrade to ring of fire

Round 53

Camo round set it off with the road spikes

Round 54

Upgrade the other one of your plantations to a research facility

Round 55

Buy a banana farm and place to the right as shown
Buy a monkey beacon and place in the centre of the circle so it covers the whole of the circle as shown:

Round 58

Upgrade the republic to research facility

Round 59

Buy a tack shooter and place as shown:
Upgrade to ring of fire

Round 60

Buy five more cannons and place as shown:
Upgrade them all to MOAB maulers
This is the BFB round so be careful

Round 61

Buy a banana farm and upgrade it to more bananas
Mid Round – Upgrade it to a republic

Round 62

Mid Round – Sell one of the cannons place nearest the banana research facilities
Mid Round – Upgrade the republic to a research facility

Round 63

Buy another two banana farms and place as shown:
Upgrade the nearest one to the research facilities to a republic
Mid Round – Upgrade the banana farm to more bananas and plantation

Round 64

Buy a tack shooter and place as shown:
Upgrade to a ring of fire
Mid Round upgrade the plantation to a republic

Round 65

Mid Round – Upgrade one of the republics to a banana research facility

Round 66

Upgrade the last republic to a banana research facility
Buy 5 tack shooters placed as shown:
Upgrade the first one to a blade shooter
Ensure you leave a gap in-between tack shooter two and three to allow for an ice tower

Round 67

Upgrade the second tack shooter just brought to a ring of fire
Upgrade the forth tack shooter to a ring of fire
Buy three cannons and place as shown:
Upgrade all to MOAB maulers
Buy a monkey beacon and upgrade to jungle drums, ensure it is covering all of the MOAB maulers

Round 68

Buy three more cannons and place as shown:
Upgrade the cannons to MOAB Maulers
Buy another banana farm and place above the one in the bottom right as shown:
Upgrade to a republic

Round 69

Upgrade the banana republic to a research facility
Mid Round – Buy another banana farm, place above the ones on the bottom right, and upgrade to a plantation.

Round 70

Upgrade the plantation to a republic
Mid Round – Upgrade the republic to a research facility
Mid Round – Buy another banana farm and place in the top left of the screen
Mid Round – Upgrade it to a plantation

Round 71

Buy four glue gunners placed as shown:
Upgrade them all to glue splatter

Round 72

Upgrade the new banana farm in the top left to a research facility
Mid Round – buy another banana farm and place in the top right of the screen
Mid Round – upgrade it to a republic

Round 73

Upgrade the new banana farm to a research facility

Round 74

Buy as many cannons as you can and fit in the gap above the majority of research facilities as shown (there is 14 in this one):
Make sure you place a monkey beacon so it covers at least the majority of cannons
Upgrade the beacon to sonar beacon
Upgrade two more of your tack shooters up the top to ring of fires
With the money you have left upgrade your cannons to MOAB maulers
Set all cannons target priority to strong

Round 75

New layout should look like this:
This will be enough to defeat the final level without a problem at all

After finishing level 75 you will be able to continue well into the 100’s with this setup, you need to continue using your common sense, keep buying all the items mentioned

above and place them where you can, you will also need to buy an array of sun gods (upgraded super monkeys.
