Balloons Tower Defence 4 Walkthrough: Expert Track on Hard

This walkthrough is for the expert track on the hard setting. This level will bring you 75 gigantic waves of balloons. You will also have 100 lives and 650 of bloons money to start off the level.

The screen is set up with a single main entry road and branches off into four different routes. The roads are numbered 1-7. The first road into the screen is road 1, Road 1 forks into two roads, Road 2 on the left and Road 3 on the right. Road 2 forks into two roads, Road 4 on the left and Road 5 on the right. Road 3 branches off into two roads, Road 6(left) and Road 7(right).

Before you start off, make sure you go to the top left hand corner of the screen and get the Frag bombs; they are free and will help you out on all of the levels you decide to play.

The Walkthrough

If you follow this walkthrough of balloons tower defence 4 correctly, you will not lose a single life. This is the expert level and the trick to this setting as you will find out is to get all the balloons before they go into any one of the four roads. If you lay out your arsenal on the four roads then you would waste too much money.

Save your game after every successful level, a successful level is not where you have passed particularly but where you have not wasted too much money and got through the level unscathed.

Remember you will have some differences in your game compared to this walk through, however, use your brain, if you can upgrade an item mid level then do so, as this will help you out in the long run.

One thing that should be mentioned before you start the game, is running this game on fast forward can damage your chances of winning, you will lose fewer lives (if any) if you do not touch the fast forward button.

Round 1

Build a Boomerang Thrower to the left of Road 2, directly where it forks off from Road 1.

Round 3

Build another Boomerang Tower across Road 3 as shown:

Build another Boomerang Tower to the left and below the first Boomerang Tower as shown:

Round 9

Build another Boomerang Tower to the right and below the second Boomerang Tower as shown:

Round 11

Build another Boomerang Tower to the left and below the third Boomerang Tower as shown:

Round 15

Build a Banana Farm in the space of the upper right-hand corner of the screen

Round 16

Upgrade the Banana Farm to more bananas

Round 18

Build another Boomerang Tower to the right and below as shown:

Upgrade the first two Boomerang Towers to Multi-Target Towers

Round 20

Upgrade the third Boomerang Tower to a Multi-Target Tower

Round 21

Upgrade the forth and fifth Boomerang Towers to Multi-Target Towers

Upgrade the last Boomerang Tower to a Multi-Target Tower

Round 24

Place Road Spikes on the Camouflage Bloons

Round 25

Build a cannon and place in the space where Road 1 forks into Road 2 and Road 3.

Set the priority of the cannon to Strong.

Round 26

Upgrade the cannon to Bigger Bombs

Round 28

Upgrade the first two Boomerang Towers to a Glaive Thrower

Round 29

Upgrade the third Boomerang Tower to a Glaive Thrower.

Round 30

Upgrade the forth Boomerang Tower to a Glaive Thrower.

Round 31

Upgrade the fifth and sixth Boomerang Towers to Glaive Throwers
Pick off big strays with road spikes

Round 33

Place Road Spikes on the Camouflage Bloons.

Mid round – Upgrade the first Boomerang Tower to a Light sabre Thrower

Round 36

Upgrade Boomerang Tower 2 to a Light sabre Thrower

Round 38

Set the Priority of Boomerang Towers 1 and 2 to Strong

Upgrade Boomerang Tower 3 to a Light sabre Thrower

Round 39

Upgrade Boomerang Tower 4 to a Light Sabre Thrower

Upgrade another one of the Boomerang Towers to a Light Sabre Thrower

Round 41

Mid round – Upgrade the last Boomerang Tower to a Light Sabre Thrower

Round 42

Buy an ice tower and place behind the cannon as shown:
Upgrade the ice tower to snap freeze

Round 45

Upgrade the ice new Ice Tower to an Arctic Wind Tower

Round 46

Buy a Boomerang Tower and place to the left of the Ice Tower as shown:
Upgrade it to a glaive thrower

Round 47

Upgrade the new Boomerang Tower to a Light Sabre Thrower

Round 48

Buy another Boomerang Tower and place above your first Boomerang Tower
Upgrade it to Light Sabre Thrower.
Camo Bloon round one tack at the start of the track will do all that is needed

Mid round – Upgrade banana farm to a plantation

Round 49

Buy another Boomerang Tower and place above the second Boomerang Tower
Upgrade to glaive thrower
Mid round – Upgrade to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 50

Buy another two Boomerang Towers and place as shown:
Upgrade them both to Glaive Throwers
Mid round – Upgrade them both to Light Sabre Throwers

Round 51

Buy another Boomerang Tower and place as shown:
Upgrade to sonic boom

Round 52

Mid round – Upgrade your newest Boomerang Tower to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 53

Buy another Boomerang Tower and place as shown:
Camo Bloon round set it off with one spike placed at start
Mid round – Upgrade it to Glaive Thrower

Round 54

Mid round – Upgrade the newest Boomerang Tower to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 55

Upgrade the cannon to longer range
Mid round – Upgrade the cannon to MOAB mauler

Round 56

Mid round – Upgrade your banana farm to a Republic

Round 58

Buy four Boomerang Towers and place as shown:

Upgrade each one of them to sonic boom

Mid round – Upgrade each one of them to Glaive Towers

Round 59

Mid round – Upgrade one of them to Ligh]t Sabre Thrower

Round 60

Beware this is a BFB round, you may get one or two bloons slip through

Mid round – Upgrade another one to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 62

Upgrade another one to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 63

Mid round – Upgrade the last one to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 64

Buy another Boomerang Tower and place as shown:
Upgrade the tower to Glaive Thrower
A few may get through again so be ready with road spikes

Round 65

Mid round – Upgrade your newest Boomerang Thrower to a Light Sabre thrower

Round 66

Sell the Banana republic

Sell any one of your Light Sabre Throwers
Buy a Monkey Beacon and place as shown:

Upgrade the Monkey Beacon to Monkey storm
Have your finger on the Call Monkey Story Button
When you pop all the MOAB maulers make sure you press to call the monkey storm

Round 67

Buy a Cannon and place as shown:

Mid round – Upgrade the cannon to Missile Launcher

Round 68

Mid round – Upgrade the Cannon to MOAB mauler
Set to target strong

Round 69

Buy a Boomerang Thrower and place as shown:

Mid round – Upgrade it to Glaive Thrower

Round 70

Mid round – Upgrade Glaive Thrower to Light Sabre Thrower

Round 71

Start the round and wait until a mass of balloons head toward the exits
When this happens call another monkey storm

Round 72

Buy two cannons and place as shown
Set target to strong

Round 73

Upgrade both cannons to bigger bombs

Round 74

Upgrade one of the cannons to Missile Launcher
Mid round – Upgrade it to MOAB mauler
Mid round – Upgrade the other cannon to MOAB mauler

Round 75

Change of layout it should now look like this:
This is by far the hardest round on the map and requires quick thinking
Half way through the round sell a Light Sabre Thrower and when it looks like bloons are going to exit call a monkey storm
You should then lay down tacks on road 5

This concludes the Expert format on hard setting.

After finishing level 75 you will be able to continue with this setup, however, instead of Boomerang Towers you need to make super monkeys and upgrade them to sun gods.
