Bloons Tower Defence 4 Walkthrough: 1st Intermediate Track on Hard

The following walk through is for the first intermediate track on hard for the game Bloons Tower Defence 4. You will be facing 75 stages of balloons, and will have 100 lives, with 650 cash at the beginning to help you.

This map is shaped like a long and curvy road. When you look at the map you will see that the top section is where you should be trying to do the majority of your damage to your balloons, and this is reflected in the walk through. There is one entry at the top left of the screen, and an exit directly underneath the entrance.

Before you get underway, make sure you go the top left hand of the screen to the ‘premium upgrade’ section, and click through to get the Frag Bombs. The Frag bombs are free, and they will help you throughout all of the levels you face.

The Walkthrough

In this walk through you will not lose a life if you follow it precisely, however, to do this you need to be aware of each stage. To do this, you should ensure you save your game before each stage. Monkey glue and road spikes are less critical on this map then the majority of the others, but to ensure you lose no lives you still need to lay some of them down.

While following this walk through you will come across some differences; however, you need to make sure you look ahead in the walk through to see what you need to build/upgrade. If you can afford to build or upgrade an item before it is mentioned then do so, if you cannot afford the item then there is a decent chance that you have made an error, because even a small error can severely change the way the game plays out.

Buy a tack shooter and place as shown:

Upgrade the newest tack shooter to faster shooting

Buy a banana farm and place as shown:

Mid round – Buy another banana farm and place above the existing one

Upgrade the new banana farm to more bananas

Buy a cannon place as shown:
Set target priority to strong

Round 22

Upgrade the cannon to bigger bombs

Upgrade the third tack shooter to blade shooter
Camo bloon round one road spike at the start will be enough

Round 25

Upgrade the first tack shooter to blade shooter

Round 27

Mid round – Upgrade one of the banana farms to a plantation

Round 29

Mid round – Upgrade the other one of the banana farms to a plantation

Upgrade cannon to longer range and missile launcher

Buy an ice tower and place by the first tack shooter as shown:

Mid round – Upgrade one of the plantations to a republic

Round 48

Camo round one road spike at the start will be enough
Mid round – Upgrade the last plantation to a republic

Round 49

Upgrade the third tack shooter to ring of fire

Round 50

Upgrade the last tack shooter to ring of fire
Buy an ice tower and place in behind the new ring of fire
Upgrade the new ice tower to snap freeze

Round 51

Buy a glue gunner and place as shown:
Upgrade the glue gunner to glue splatter

Round 52

Buy a cannon and place as shown:
Upgrade to missile launcher
Set target priority as strong

Upgrade the newest cannon to MOAB mauler
Buy a monkey beacon and place as shown:
Upgrade to wider influence

Round 54

Buy another glue gunner and place underneath the other one as shown:
Upgrade to corrosive glue

Round 55

Build a cannon and place in the top left hand corner of the screen as shown:
Upgrade to MOAB mauler

Round 56

Upgrade the new glue gunner to glue splatter
Mid round – Upgrade the monkey beacon to sonar beacon

Round 57

Buy a cannon and place underneath left column as shown:
Upgrade to MOAB mauler
Set target priority as strong

Round 58

Buy another cannon and place as shown:
Upgrade to MOAB Mauler
Set priority as strong

Round 59

Buy another cannon and place as shown:

Round 60

Buy an ice tower and place as shown:

Game Over!

After seeing off level 75 of tower defence 4 you should continue on, and you will be able to proceed to around level 90-100 if you continue buying the same towers as shown above. You should also buy super monkeys and upgrade them to sun gods as these are the most powerful weapons available on the game.
